INDIVIDUAL PURSUITS

For this activity I had to say three things that I learned from watching these videos, as well as one thing I would still like to know. I learnt that girls get payed less than boy in tennis. I learnt that in 2005 Venus won Wimbledon in what was the longest woman's final in history. I also learnt that Serena has Earned over $80m during her career. my question I still want to learn about is why male athletes earn more that woman athletes?

    Wow. Imagine having 80 million dollars. She is definitely a good tennis player if she has received 80 million dollars. But it is a shame that females only get less than males. It's really unfair isn't it. I mean, women can do the same things as males can. So why does there need to be a change in pay? Anyways. The William sisters are definitely an exception.

    What do you think would happen if men and women were payed equally?

    How are you today? The sun is slowly starting to show through the clouds down here in Whangarei, so I'm hoping it turns into a nice day!

    I agree with Taleisha, it doesn't seem fair that women get paid more than men when they play the same sport. There was an activity that talked about unequal pay during the teaser week, did you get the chance to see that activity?

    But wow, 80 million dollars!! I can't even imagine having that much money. What would you do if you had that much money? I think I would like to give some to my whanau, and then we could all go on a nice holiday overseas together.

    Great work on including your image attributions Zhynaliyah, that's awesome to see.
