In Te Ngahere we have been learning about variables. Last week we needed to jump into groups of 3’s or 2’s to make a marble ramp. We were trying to get the marble 110 cm away from the end of the ramp. What I enjoyed was creating our ramp and learning what variables are. Next time what I think we can do better is to only change one variable at a time not the whole ramp.

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about explorers. I am learning about kupe. We had to answer 3 questions how they came to aotearoa? What was their impact? And why they came to aotearoa. What I enjoyed was learning about kupe. What I think I could do better next time is stick to how kupe got to Aotearoa and his impact on NZ not random stuff about kupe.   

On Monday Te Ngahere was learning how to double and triple numbers. What I think went well in my group was that we would all figure out the question together. What I think we should improve on is to find out different ways to solve the problem not just the way everyone else is solving the question.

In Te Ngahere we have been learning our basic facts. My goal is to try and get all of my divisions right, The main ones are 6’s 7’s and 8's and  I am hoping to know all of them by next Monday or Tuesday.I was so happy today because I got all of my times tables in one day. I did get four wrong and then I got tested again five minutes later and got them right.I enjoyed learning my divisions.What I could do better next time is to ask other people to test me instead of ignoring them.
