Today in Te Ngahere we were learning about the Scientific Method steps, the Scientific Method steps are 
  1. ask a question, (like what is the best bait to catch rats)
  2.  gather information and observe (research) (search it up on your chromebook or ask someone or read a book about it)
  3. make a hypothesis (guess the answer) (like peanut butter could be a good bait)
  4. experiment and test your hypothesis Analyze your test results, (peanut butter was not the best instead it was rotten eggs)
  5. present your data. Show your figuring  out with a doc or slides or on paper
What I think i did well was learning about the Scientific Method and what a hypothesis  is.

What I enjoyed was making an info graphic to show what I learnt about the scientific method.

QUICK RIP

Yesterday 11 students from Paihia School went to the Kerikeri Quick Rip Tournament. We won 1 game and lost 2 other games. My favourite part of the day was when I helped another girl, up when she fell over and when we won our first game.Maybe next time I shouldn’t hesitate and just run it straight.

Yesterday the year 7 & 8’s went to tech. In tech I am making a waka hourua. I am making it for one of my Aunts, because without her I would not know anything about waka or navigation. What I really enjoy was using all the different tools in tech. What I think I could do better next time is go and ask my mates for help first not Mr E first.

Last week on Friday, the kapa haka roopu went to the southern bay of island cultural festival. It was so cute when the little kids performed. This little girl started a song and it was so cute. What I enjoyed was performing and watching the other kids perform what I think I could improve on  next time is listen to the guitar and the note so I start the song at the right note and time.



This week in Te Ngahere we have been learning how to draw a nautilus shell with maths. This is the sequence 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34.

It is called Fibonacci cause it makes a nautilus shell. What I think I could do better next time is listen to the advice Mr Lindsay gave me and not ignore him.
